The 27th day of Rajab is the last or the beginning. Holy month of Rajab. A fictitious hadith about the month of Rajab

Congratulations to all Muslims on the upcoming blessed month of RAJAB - the month of Allah Almighty!!!

(According to the calendar data, the first day of the month of Rajab falls on May 11, and the first night, which is very desirable to revive with worship, is from May 10 to 11! May Allah help us spend Rajab so that Allah and His beloved Messenger (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) were satisfied! Amen.

RAJAB is one of the three holy months (Rajab, Shaaban, Ramadan), which are the greatest mercy of Allah Almighty to His servants.

During these months, the reward for good deeds and worship, Almighty Allah, increases many times and forgives the sins of those who sincerely repent of them.
One of the hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: “If you want peace before death, a happy ending (death as a Muslim) and protection from shaitan, respect these months by fasting and regretting sins.” According to another hadith, retribution (reward for good deeds and punishment for sins) in the month of Rajab increases 70 times. Rajab is also one of the 4 forbidden months (Rajab, Zul-Qaada, Zul-Hijja, Muharram), in which the Almighty especially forbade sins and conflicts.

In a venerable hadith narrated by Sayyidin Hassan, the beloved grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), it is said:
“There are four nights in the year on which Grace, Forgiveness, Generosity, Blessings and Gifts of Allah fall on the earth like rain (i.e. in innumerable amounts). And blessed are those who know or will know the true the meaning and value of such nights, namely:
1) The first night of the month of Rajab
2) Night 15 Shaaban
3) Overnight Ramadan
a and
4) Night in Eid al-Adha.

Since in Islam we follow the lunar calendar, the calculation of each day begins at sunset (ie, in the evening). Thus, the 1st night of Rajab is exactly the night when Rajab has just begun (and it is followed by the 1st day of Rajab), the Night of 15 Shaaban means the night from 14 to 15 Shaaban, the Night of Ramadan means the night before the Eid al-Adha- Bayram, and the Night in Kurban-Bayram, respectively, means the night before the holiday of Kurban-Bayram (that is, the night from 9 to 10 Zul-Hijja).

Those people who appreciate the great significance of these nights, of course, spend them not in disobedience or sin, but in worship and humility, in performing charitable and other good deeds, in prayers, dua, reading the Holy Quran and dhikr. And on such special nights, intelligent people make every effort to make the Almighty pleased with them. These nights give them the opportunity to draw closer and closer to God.

Sauban, one of the venerable companions (may Allah be pleased with him), reported: “I was with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) when we entered the cemetery. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped and tears flowed down his face. He was crying so hard that his shirt across his chest was wet with tears. Then I approached him and asked: “O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), why are you crying? Has a Divine Revelation been sent down to you now?”
To which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: “O Sauban, those who lie here, the dead, who are buried in this cemetery, suffer from grave punishments. That's why I cried."

What is the Greatest Mercy and Generosity with which Allah honored this special night - the 1st night of the month of Rajab! After all, not only the worshiper himself will be forgiven, but he will also receive permission to intercede for 70 people! What grandeur, what grace of this extraordinary night! And what can we say to those who do not appreciate the blessings of this night, who spend it in disobedience and sin, who do not value their lives or the lives of others (whom they could save), and throw this opportunity to the wind!

If a man was going to throw his gold and diamonds into the sea, destroy his house in which he lives, and burn down his dwelling, then we would begin to feel sorry for such a man, regretfully saying about him that “he must have completely lost his mind ".
And we would be right to pity him. But, in the end, he could have the opportunity to make good money in the future, and he would be able to recoup everything lost. But no money, no work in the world can give us back our lost life, years, days, nights, hours, lost minutes! And this means that our lives are much more valuable than gold, diamonds or anything like that.

Previously, the servants in the Kaaba kept it open throughout the month of Rajab, from the 1st day to the last, as a sign of reverence and respect for this Holy month. And in other months, they opened the Kaaba only on Mondays and Fridays. They said, “This month (Rajab) is the month of the Lord, and this House (Kaaba) is the House of the Lord. And since people are servants of God, how can we keep them away from the House of the Lord in the Month of the Lord?

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Remember, Rajab is the month of the Almighty, whoever fasts at least one day in this month, Allah will be pleased with that.”

Rajab is called the month of the Almighty for the huge rewards and bounties sent down in this month.
The word "Rajab" consists of three letters (in Arabic no vowels): “R” means “rahmat” (the mercy of the Almighty), “j” - “jurmul'abdi” (sins of the servants of Allah) and “b” - “birru Llahi Ta'ala” (Goodness of Allah Almighty). And Allah says: “O My servants, I have made sure that your sins are enclosed between My mercy and My good.”

The month of Rajab has several names:

1) . Rajab Mudar (Rajab of the Mudar tribe),
2). Munsil (Mansal al-Asinna) (eliminator of arrowheads, spears, etc.),
3). Shahrullah al-Asamm (deaf month of Allah),
4). Shahrullah al-Asaab (Month of the Bounty of Allah),
5). Ash-shahrul-Mutahkhir (month of purification),
6). Ash-shahrus-Saabik (outstanding, previous),
7). Ash-shahrul-fard (secluded, lonely).

1)
Rajab Mudar (Rajab of the Mudar tribe). How this name is connected with the month of Rajab, it becomes clear from the following hadith: “There are 12 months in a year, 4 of which are sacred. 3 of them follow in turn one after another - Zul-Qaada, Zul-Hijja, Muharram, and the fourth one separately from them is the month of Rajab (Mudar tribe), which is between the months Jamada-Sani and Shaaban.” Thus, the place of Rajab between the months of Jamad-Sani and Shaaban was clearly defined.

This completely cut off the path to any attempt to transfer (postpone) this holy month, which was practiced by the Arabs in the pre-Islamic period (the period of Jahiliyya - ignorance). In those days, the pagan Arabs asked the heads of the tribes to transfer the month of Muharram to Safar in order to avoid certain prohibitions imposed by the obligations of the holy month. This is mentioned in the Holy Quran, 9:37.

2) The month of Rajab received the name Munsil (Mansal al-Asinna) (eliminating arrowheads, spears, etc.), since the Arabs, in preparation for this month, removed the points of arrowheads from their their arrows and sheathed swords and sabers (i.e. did not use them) as a sign of respect for the holy month of Rajab. Moreover, in the period of jahiliyah, even a person
who was going to commit blood vengeance for a murdered relative, having met the enemy in the month of Rajab, did nothing, but, on the contrary, pretended as if he did not notice him. As for the prohibition of battles in this month, there is a disagreement among the Ulama. Most theological scholars say that the taboo has been repealed. This is indicated by Imam Ahmad and other imams, and it is also confirmed by the actions of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them all), who did not stop jihad during the forbidden months.

3) Shahrullah al-Asamm (the deaf month of Allah, in the sense that the wrath of Allah is "not heard" in Rajab).
Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) once said after the khutbah: “The quiet month of Allah has come. In this month, one should pay zakat, pay off debts and give alms.(That is, this month is 'deaf' to the tricks of those who want to delay the payment of zakat, etc.).

4) Shahrullah al-Asaab - Month of the bounty of Allah.

The Hadith says: “He who fasts at least 1 day in the month of Rajab, will deserve the great mercy and blessing of Allah.

fasting 2 day will receive a double reward, each of which is the size of a mountain.

For the fasting 3 day, a huge ditch will be created to separate this person from the Hellfire. And this ditch will be so wide that it will take a whole year to cross it from beginning to end.

The one who fasts 4 day will be protected from madness, elephantiasis and leprosy, and, what is very important, will be protected from the evil of the Dajjal.

For the one who fasts 5 days - will be protected from punishment in the grave.

The one who fasts 6 days, will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment with a face shining brighter and more beautiful than the full moon.

7 days - Allah will close the 7 doors of Hell so that this person does not get there.

8 days - Allah will open the doors of Paradise for this person.

14 days - Allah will reward the fasting person with something so beautiful that not a single living soul has heard of.

For the one who fasts 15 days in Rajab, Allah will give such a status that not one of the approximate angels and not one of the Prophet-Messengers (peace be upon them) will pass by this person without saying

"Congratulations to you, as you are saved and safe." Abu Kallaba (may Allah have mercy on him) also said: “In Paradise, there is a castle for fasting people in Rajab.”

Those who fasted 16 days, they will be the first to see Allah Almighty (with a special vision).

The man who fasted 17 days without difficulty cross the Sirat bridge (the bridge over Hell).

To the one who fasted 18 days the Prophet Ibrahim will come, peace be upon him.

The one who fasted 19 days will become a neighbor of the Prophet Adam, peace be upon him.

And if the number of days reaches 20 the sins of this man will be washed away.

If a person fasts all 30 days, the Voice from above will say to him: "O Waliyallah (close to Allah), great joy awaits you on the Day when everyone will be saddened by his difficulty."

5) Ash-Shahrul-Mutahkhir is a cleansing month. The one who fasts in Rajab is cleansed of sins.
According to the hadith narrated by Imam Hibatullah ibn al-Mubarak As-Sadati (may Allah have mercy on him): “He who fasts 1 day in the month of Rajab will receive a sawab (reward) as for fasting 30 years.”

“At a fasting person in the month of Rajab, at least 10 du’a (prayer, request) will be accepted in the evening, or in Ahira (eternal life), much more will be prepared for him as a reward. better than that what he asked for in his dua.”

A huge savab is promised to those who fast the entire month of Rajab (or almost the entire month).

Abdullah ibn Az-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) reported: “Whoever saves a believer from troubles in the month of Rajab, Allah will give him a place in Paradise, insha Allah.”

Narrated by Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): “Fast in the month of Rajab, as fasting in this month is accepted by Allah as a special kind of repentance.”

Many of our righteous ancestors fasted this month completely. Of these, Ibn Umar, Hasan Basri, Abu Iskah Sabi'i (may Allah have mercy on them). Savri said: “Most of all, I like to fast during the forbidden months.” However, Imams such as Ahmad and Shafi'i said that it is undesirable to liken any other month of Ramadan by fasting the entire month.

Meanwhile, this does not apply to the person who wants to fast for several months in a row.

6) Ash-shahrus-Saabik - the previous month. Means that Rajab is the first (preceding) holy month. One of the great wali of Allah Zun-nun Misri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “In Rajab, sowing, in Shaaban - watering, in Ramadan - harvesting. Rajab is the month of forgiveness and mercy, Shaaban is the month of purification and spiritualization, and Ramadan is the acquisition of blessings.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), except for the obligatory fast in the month of Ramadan, did not fast so much in any other months as in Rajab and Shaaban.

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated the words of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Rajab is the month of Allah, Shaaban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my ummah (community)."

7) Ash-shahrul-fard (secluded, lonely). This name is explained by the fact that Rajab is separate from the other three sacred months. The hadiths say about this: “A river flows in the Garden of Eden, its name is Rajab. It is whiter than milk and sweeter (tastier) than honey. And the one who fasted at least one day in the month of Rajab, Allah will make it possible to remove thirst from this river.
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: “In Paradise there is such a palace where no one can enter, except for those who often fasted in the month of Rajab.”

The first day and first night, the first Thursday of Rajab, the 15th day and 15th night and the 27th day and night of the month of Rajab are especially valuable (on the night of 26 to 27 Rajab, the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed Miraj - ascension).
It is advisable to spend these nights in prayers and remembrance of Allah, and the days in fasting. The hadith says: “He who spends the first night of the month of Rajab in worship of the Almighty, his heart will not die when the body gives up the spirit. Allah pours good into him through his head, and he will come out of his sins, as if his mother had just given birth to him. He will get the right and intercession and intercession (shafaat) for 70 thousand sinners who were supposed to go to Hell.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) conveyed that on the first night of Rajab, dua (requests) are accepted by Allah. On this blessed night, Amin's daughter Wahba carried in her womb Muhammad (peace be upon him) the last Prophet of God. Also from the hadiths on this subject: “Fast on the first, fifteenth and last day of the month of Rajab and you will receive the same reward as for a whole month of fasting, because it is written ten times. And don't forget the night first Friday of Rajab"

This is Laylat-ul-Ragaib - Night Raghaib,- when the marriage of the parents of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, Abdullah and Amina took place.

The first night from Thursday to Friday (Raghaib Night) in Rajab is highly recommended to spend in Ibadat, as this is the night of "Wish Fulfillment".
In the evening from Thursday 1 to Friday of the month of Rajab, it is recommended to make next prayer: during the time between Maghrib prayer (Ahsham, evening) and Isha prayer (Yastu, night) (i.e. between 4 and 5 prayers), perform a prayer of 12 rak'ahs, read Al-Fatiha 1 time in each of them, Al-Qadr 3 times, Al-Ikhlas 12 times. Perform 12 rak'ahs in two (as in taraweeh).
After prayer, read salawat 70 times “Allahumma solli ‘ala Muhammadeenin-Nabiyil-Ummiyi Wa ‘ala aalihi wa sallim.”
Then descend into sajda (earth bow) and say 70 times (in sajda) "Subbuuhun Kudduusun Rabbil-Malyayaikati va-r-Ruuh".
Then raise your head and say 70 times "Rabbi gfir va rham va tajaavaz ma ta'lam fainnakya Anta-l-Aziizul-A'zam"
And finally, go down to the 2nd sajda and say the same as in the first. And after that, while still in sajda, ask Allah for the desired (i.e. personal dua), and, insha-Allah, this dua will be fulfilled.
For this prayer, a huge reward is promised, the forgiveness of sins, and this prayer will be of great help in the grave and relieve loneliness (in the grave).

Among other things, they say that in Rajab Nuh (peace be upon him) entered the ark, Musa (peace be upon him) with his people made a miraculous crossing over the sea, the repentance of Adam (peace be upon him) was accepted, the Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), Isa ( peace be upon him) and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
In many hadiths, great importance is given to the distribution of sadak (alms) in the month of Rajab and the dedication of nights to the worship of Allah, prayers and dhikr. It is advisable to read Surah Ikhlyas more often this month.
It is highly recommended to do special prayer on the first day, in the middle and on the last day of Rajab. This prayer consists of 10 rak'ahs. In each rakah, Al-Fatiha is read - 1 time, then Al-Ikhlas - 3 times and Al-Kafirun - 3 times. After the last salam on the first day of Rajab, the following should be read:

Wa huva 'ala kulli shayin Qadiir.
Allahhumma la maani'a li ma a'taita wa la mu'tia li ma mana'ta wa la yanfa'u zal-jaddi minqal-jadd.

And after that, run your hands over your face, as after any du'a.

In the middle of the month of Rajab, after the last salam, the following should be read:

La ilaha illallahu Wahdah La shara Lah
Lahul-Mulku wa lahul-hamd Yuhyi wa yumiit
Wa huwa haiyu la yumiitbiya dihil-khair
wa huva 'ala kulli shayin Qadiir.
Ilyayahav-Vahidan Ahadan
Samadan Fardan Vitran
laya yattakhizu saakhibatav-va la valyada.

At the end of the month of Rajab, after the last salam, the following should be read:

La ilaha illallahu Wahdah La shara Lah
Lahul-Mulku wa lahul-hamd Yuhyi wa yumiit
Wa huwa haiyu la yumiitbiya dihil-khair
Wa huva 'ala kulli shayin Qadiir.
Sollallahu 'ala sayyidina Muhammadin wa 'ala
Aalikhit-Taakhiriin
La haula wa la kuvvata illa billahil-´Aliyil-´Azyym.

P.S. Assalamu alaikum, dear ones!
Regarding the revival of the first night of Rajab with worship, I would like to add that the night lasts until the morning azan, i.e. somewhere around 3 o'clock in the morning .. Therefore, it will not be difficult not to sleep until this time, but to make yourself a good reserve for Ahirat!

On this first night of the Holy Rajab, it is good to repay debts for prayers, read the Koran (in Arabic, of course, not transcription), read salawat for our Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), do dhikr, perform virds, make dua for yourself, your family , for all Muslims. You can also read religious literature, listen to CDs with lectures, Alimov's sermons, talk about religion, study Islamic sciences... If all this is done for the pleasure of Allah Almighty, then insha Allah, it will be accepted and worshiped by Allah.

Rajab- the first of three sacred months the greatest mercy of Allah Almighty to His servants (Rajab, Shaban and Ramadan). Rajab is one of four forbidden months(Rajab, Zul-Qaada, Zul-Hijja, Muharram). This is one of the months of the pilgrimage to Mecca.

In the month of Rajab, two sacred nights are celebrated: Laylat al-Ragaib and Laylat al-Mi'raj.

Worship

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Rajab is the month of Allah, Shaban is my month, and Ramadan is the month of my ummah” (Ibn Abbas). In Rajab, they cleanse the soul from evil, do good deeds, read the Holy Quran, shahada, istigfar, dua, dhikr, salavats, perform a special prayer.

Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, testifies that at the onset of Rajab, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said the following dua:

اَللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِى رَجَبَ وَشَعْبَانَ وَبَلِّغْنَا رَمَضَانَ

“O Allah! Give us barakat (abundance) in Rajab and Shaban and let us reach Ramadan ”(Ahmad ibn Hanbal, al-Musnad 1/259).

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said that those who spend first night Rajab in worship and obedience, the Almighty will bestow his mercy and cleanse from sins.

Allah is merciful to those who fast this month and worship Him. The duas of the fasting Rajab are quickly accepted, therefore, before breaking the fast in the dua, they ask Allah to accept the fast and pass on the sawab (reward) for him to the dead (relatives and friends) and suffering Muslims.

O people, fear Allah Almighty and give thanks to Him for His mercy to us. He has given us blessed periods of time and many other blessings. Appreciate your blessed days properly, fill them with obedience to the Almighty and approaching Him, move away from sins and fill your life with meaning and perfection. After all, Allah created these periods in order to forgive our sins, multiply our good deeds and strengthen our path.

We, by the grace of Allah (praise and greatness to Him), meet the blessed month of Allah - Rajab, which is a great opportunity to do the best and good deeds.
Almighty Allah granted His believing servants especially blessed days and nights, such as: Raghaib, Mi'raj, Baraat Qadr, which fall on three sacred months - Rajab, Sha'aban and Ramadan.

Praise be to Allah, who honored us with the happiness of living up to this time of spiritual gifts, where everyone who wishes can, with his sincerity and worship, acquire the blessings of eternity from Allah. For we are commanded to spend these blessed days and nights in a manner fitting for God's servants.

The venerable Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), with the approach of these three sacred months, prayed to the Creator as follows: "Allahumma barik lana fi rajabi wa-sha'abani wa-balligna ramadan"“O Allah, make the months of Rajab and Shaaban blessed for us and let us live until Ramadan”(Ahmad, Bayhaki, Kashf al-Hawa. Vol. 1: 186, No. 554), and in one of his hadiths he said: “There are five nights in which prayer will never be rejected:

1. Night of the first Friday of the month of Rajab (Night of Raghaib);

2. Fifteenth night of the month of Sha'aban (Night of Baraat);

3. (Each) Friday night;

4. Pre-holiday night of Ramadan;

5. Pre-holiday night of the holiday of Kurban "(Ibn Asakir, Mukhtar al Ahadith: 73).

According to the lunar calendar, the month of Rajab is the seventh month of the year and one of the four sacred months called ‘ashkhuru-l-khurum. There are two blessed nights in this month - Raga 'ib and Mi 'raj.

It is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha'ban is my month, Ramadan is the month of my ummah." The word Rajab comes from the word tarjib and means "respect", "reverence" and "worship". Allah Almighty forgives sins and grants high degrees to those who, out of respect for this month, fast and worship Him. One of the hadiths says that Rajab is the name of one of the heavenly springs, the water of which is “whiter than milk and sweeter than honey” and that on the day of the Last Judgment, those who fasted that month will be rewarded with its water.

Since the fasts and worship performed in the month of Rajab are especially pure and pleasing to God, there is another name for this month - ash-Shahru-l-mutahhar, which means "the month of purification." Therefore, the month of Rajab is a month of repentance and admiration. The month of Sha'aban is the month of love and faithful service to Allah. The month of Ramadan is a month of intimacy and prosperity.
Dhun-nun al-Misriy (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “The month of Rajab is the month of sowing seeds, ІІІa’aban is the month of watering them, and the month of Ramadan is the month of harvesting piety and serving Allah. Everyone reaps what he sows. And the one who did not sow anything, in the month of harvest will greatly regret it ... ".

One of the sacred hadiths says: “Rajab is the month of Allah. Whoever shows respect to this month, Allah will also show respect in this and the next world.
One of the Islamic scholars said: “The reckoning is like a tree. If the month of Rajab is the leaves of a tree, then Sha'ban is its fruits, and the month of Ramadan is the harvest. The month of Rajab is the month of Allah's forgiveness, Sha'aban is the guardianship and intercession of Allah, and Ramadan is the boundless blessings of the Almighty.

Therefore, there is hope that those believers who answer this call on the night of Ar-Ragaib will find their salvation. That is why mature believers should give great importance this night, fasting during the day and spending the night in worship.

On this night, the Honorable Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who saw many miracles and signs of his Lord, performed, as a gratitude and gratitude to Allah, twelve rak'ats of prayer (S. Atesh. Islamic Encyclopedia: 216; O. Nasuhi Bilmen Islamic Encyclopedia: 205; A. Fikri Yavuz Islamic Encyclopedia: 529).

Almighty Allah, whose forgiveness and mercy are limitless, sent us a guide and savior, the Prophet of Mercy - Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He is in constant concern for us. Our sins sadden and hurt his heart. Therefore, a true Muslim cannot do anything that could contradict the call of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

Allah Almighty says:

“A messenger from among you has come to you. It is hard for him that you are suffering. He longs to [guide] you [to the true path], and towards the believers he is compassionate, merciful” (At-Tauba, 9/128).

Therefore, dear Muslim brothers, three holy months and blessed nights must be used to approach Allah Almighty. Let's do more repentance and du'a during these months, trying to repay our material and spiritual debts for the sake of the Lord's pleasure. Let's read the Holy Quran more often, say salawats to the Honored Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Let's line up in mosques and make du'a for the sake of our common salvation. Let's visit our old and sick people, thus honoring their good prayers. Let's make dua for the dead and recite the Quran to them. Let's give time and attention to the poor, the poor, the needy, the lonely, the orphans, and the widows. Let's teach our children about the virtues of these blessed days and nights.

I would like to recall the hadeeth of the Honorable Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), which was reported by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): “Allah Almighty says: “I am close to My servant as much as he can imagine. And when he remembers me, I find myself next to him. If he remembers Me in someone's company, I remember him in a company better than this. If a slave takes a step towards me, I take two steps towards him. And if a slave goes to Me on foot, I will run to meet him ”(Al-Bukhari, Muslim (may Allah have mercy on them), Al-Lu’-Lu’uwal Marjan. Kitab At-Tawba. No. 1746).

Prayers performed in the month of Rajab

Prayer with a request for the fulfillment of desires is a Hajjat prayer (it expresses a request for the fulfillment of desires), which can be read at any time when the need arises. It consists of 10 rak'ats, i.e. after the niyat (intention of prayer), 10 more rak'ats are read. It can be read on the 1st and 10th, on the 11th and 20th, 21st and 30th days of the month of Rajab. This prayer can also be read after evening (maghrib) and night (‘isha) prayers. It is even more preferable to read this prayer on the night of Friday and Sunday during the prayer of tahajjud. This prayer, read 30 times during the month of Ramadan, distinguishes a Muslim from an atheist. The godless will not be able to do it. For this prayer, the following intention (niyat) must be expressed: “O my Allah! For the sake of our spiritual leader (i.e. the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who filled the world with light with his appearance, in the name of the month of Rajab you valued (declared sacred), endow me with Your Divine mercy and grace. Write me in the row Thy pious and pious servants. Save me from the torments of transient and eternal life. For Your sake, I said this Niyyat. Allahu Akbar! ".

Moreover, in each rak'at of this prayer, in which 2 rak'ats are read (a total of 10 rak'ats), sura al-Fatiha is read 1 time, sura al-Kafirun 3 times and sura al-Ikhlas 3 times.

Night of wish fulfillment (Laylat al-Ragaib)

It is assumed that Laylat ar-Ragaib is the night of the first Friday of the month of Rajab, connecting Thursday with Friday. This night is also revered among Muslims along with other blessed nights.

On this night, Muslims ask for the fulfillment of their desires. They meet this night with prayers in the hope of the mercy and blessings of Allah. Therefore, it is revered as the night of the Fulfillment of Desires: Ragaib from the word ragiba - “dream”, “desire”.

In the hadiths, it has come down to us that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) read a prayer of 12 rak'ats that night. However, there is no confirmation of the truth of this information. Islamic scholars also wrote about this, for example, the authors of the books Bahr ar-ra iq and Raddu-l-Mukhtar.
Among Muslims, the reading of prayer in 12 rak'ahs on the night of Raghaib was first introduced at the beginning of the 12th century. This prayer is considered nafl. If you do it sincerely for the sake of Allah, then a person will receive an appropriate reward, however, if you do not read it, there will be no sin. This prayer is read between the evening (maghrib) and night (‘isha) prayers. Every 2 rak'ahs end with a greeting (as-salamu ‘alaikum wa-rahmatullah). In the first rak'ah, sura al-Fatiha is read 1 time and sura al-Qadr 3 times.

Du'a that ascend in the month of Rajab

Since Rajab is the month of Allah, this month one should read Sura al-Ikhlas (Purification) more often, which describes the main attributes of the Almighty. It is especially pleasing to recite the following dhikrs 3,000 times in this month:

  1. During the first 10 days: "Subhana-llahi-l-hayyi-l-kayyum";
  2. Next 10 days: "Subhana-llahi-l-ahadi-s-samad";
  3. Last 10 days: "Subhana-llahi-l-gafuuri-r-rahiim".

These tasbihs should be recited at least 100 times daily. In the month of Rajab, it is very useful to offer a prayer of repentance:

“Astaghfiru-llaha-l-azima-llazi laa ilaaha illa hua-l-khayyal-kayyuma wa-atubu ilaih. Tavbata abdin zaalimin li-nafsih, laa yamliku li-nafsihi mawtan wa-laa hayatan wa-laa nushuura"

Meaning: I pray to forgive my sins of Allah the Great, Living and Eternal, besides Whom there is no Godhead, with the repentance of a slave who has sinned against himself, unable to either kill, revive or resurrect himself.

Today is the first day of the seventh month lunar calendar Rajab. The month of Rajab is one of the four forbidden months, in which wars, enmity, and sinful acts are prohibited.

The Quran says: “Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve. So it was written in Scripture on the day when Allah created the heavens and the earth. Four months of them are forbidden. This is the right religion, and therefore do not act unjustly towards yourself in them. Fight the polytheists all together (or all together), just as they fight you all together (or all together). Know that Allah is with the pious.” (8:36).

The hadeeth of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) says: “The year consists of 12 months, four of which are forbidden, three of them are in a row: Dhul-Qaada, Dhul-Hijja, Muharram and Rajab Muzara, which is between Jumada and Aban”(Bukhari).

Significant events that occurred in the month of Rajab are Isra and Miraj (Night migration of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) from Mecca to Jerusalem and ascension to heaven). Also this month, on the night of Raghaib, the blessed nikah of the parents of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) took place.

The righteous said that the month of Rajab is the month of crops. The next month of Shaban is the month of watering and caring for these crops. Holy Ramadan is the month of harvest. Therefore, Rajab is the first step of spiritual purification on the path of preparation for the holy month of Ramadan. This month, the believer should pay special attention to:

1. Keep fasting. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Fasting on the first day of the month of Rajab is an atonement for sins committed for three years. Fasting on the second day is an expiation for two years. On the third day in one year. Each of the other days is an atonement for the month of sins committed..

“Remember, Rajab is the month of the Almighty, whoever fasts at least one day in this month, Allah will be pleased with that.”

“In some years, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) fasted so long in the month of Rajab that we thought that he would never break his fast. And in some years he did not start fasting in the month of Rajab for so long that we thought that he would not fast at all..

2. Move away from sins. Sin is always forbidden and always moves us away from the pleasure of Allah Almighty. But the sin committed in the holy months, which is Rajab, exceeds that committed in other months. Therefore, in order to avoid the displeasure of Allah, it is especially important to control oneself, manage one's nafs and beware of the forbidden.

3. Do good deeds even more. Help parents, strengthen family ties, devote more time to family, help the poor and give alms. Any even the smallest good brings a great reward in the Holy Months. Whoever helps to do a good deed, points out and explains it to others, receives the same reward as those who have done this good deed.

4. Compensate for missed prayers and fasts. Considering that Ramadan is ahead, the believer should start preparing for it thoroughly even before it begins, first of all, making up for missed prayers, fasts and other missed religious obligations.

The month of Rajab is the seventh month of the lunar calendar. The self-name "rajab" is derived from the word "ar-rujub", which means "exaltation". So, it was in the month of Rajab that the events known to all Muslims as al-Isra and al-Miraj (Night migration of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) from Mecca to Jerusalem and from there ascension to heaven) took place. The month of Rajab is also called the Rajab of Muzar (in honor of one of the ancestors of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) because it was his tribe that did not displace this month, unlike other Arabs who, not wanting to stop the war, transferred Rajab to another month.

The advent of the month of Rajab gives hope to lovers for rebirth and new life. Rajab opens a new chapter in the Book of Life, overflowing with the delicate aroma of worship.

The Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his family!) with the onset of the month of Rajab raised his hands in prayer and, giving praise and glory to Allah, said 30 times “Allah is Great” and “There is no deity but Allah” and said: “The month of Rajab - a month of repentance for my ummah. This month, ask a lot for the forgiveness of sins, since Allah is All-Forgiving and All-Merciful.

The month of Rajab is one of the sacred, forbidden months, about which the Almighty said in the Qur'an:

إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ذَلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُم

"Verily, the number of months that are listed on the Preserved Tablets is twelve from the day of the creation of physical bodies and time. Four of them are forbidden: Zul-Qaada, Zul-Hijja, Muharram and Rajab. And this prohibition is the right path, the path of Ibrahim and Ismail ( peace be upon them), so take it from them. And do not oppress yourselves by committing sinful things during these four months, since the sin in them is more difficult than in other times ... "(At-Tawba", ayat 36) .

In a hadith cited by Imams al-Bukhari and Muslim from a companion of Abu Bakrat (may Allah be pleased with him), it says: "The year consists of 12 months, four of which are forbidden, three of which are in a row: Dhul-Qaada, Dhul-Hijja , Muharram and Rajab of Muzara, which is between Jumada and Aban." ("Sahih al-Bukhari" No. 6893; "Sahih Muslim" No. 3179).

One woman in the month of Rajab in the Al-Aqsa Mosque recited Surah Ikhlas 12,000 times every day. During this month, she threw a woolen cloth over herself. When she fell ill, she bequeathed to her son to bury her with this cloth. After her death, she was wrapped in a shroud and buried. That night he saw his mother in a dream and she said: "I'm not happy with you, you didn't fulfill my will." When he woke up, he took this cloth and went to dig it out. Opening the grave and not finding his mother in it, he was confused, then he heard a voice: “Didn’t you know that the one who fasted for Me in the month of Rajab, I will not leave alone in the grave?”

Night Raghaib

Every night of the month of Rajab is valuable, and every Friday is also valuable. It is also advisable to fast on the first Thursday of the month of Rajab, and it is advisable to spend the night after Thursday, that is, the first Friday night of the month of Rajab, in Ibadah and all-night vigil. This night is called Laylat-ul-Ragaib. On this night, the marriage of the parents of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) took place. It is also called the Night of Benevolence, because on this night the Almighty shows favor, shows mercy to His servants. Prayer made on this night is not rejected. For prayer, fasting, almsgiving and other services performed on this night, multiple grace is rewarded.

The word "raghaib" in translation means: "Hope for the forgiveness of Allah, His Grace to His servants, as well as the fulfillment of requests and prayers."

There is so much wisdom in this night and in this day that we cannot imagine it. Therefore, if possible and by virtue of the knowledge of every Muslim, this night must be spent in worship, you need to repent of your sins, ask for forgiveness from Allah, make up for missed prayers, distribute sadaka, help the poor, please children and give them gifts, communicate with parents, relatives and loved ones, read prayers (du "a) for them.

Once our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke about the virtues of ibadah in the month of Rajab. An elderly man who lived during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that he could not fast during the entire month of Rajab. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: “You fast the first, fifteenth and last days month of rajab! You will receive grace equal to a monthly fast. For graces are recorded tenfold. However, do not forget about the night on the first Friday of the glorious Rajab.

Isra wal Miraj

On the night of 27 Rajab, the miraculous Ascension and Heaven of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) - Al-Isra' wa-l-Mi'raj happened. On the 27th of Rajab, it is also desirable to fast.

That night, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), sleeping at the Kaaba, was awakened by a loud call: “Wake up, sleeping!”. Opening his eyes, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the angels Jabrail and Mikail in beautiful white robes embroidered with gold and pearls. Next to them stood a beautiful mount, similar to a horse, but with wings. It was Burak. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sat on Burak and was instantly transported (al-Isra) to the north. They stopped, and the angel Jabrail ordered Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to pray, and then said that these were the lands of Medina, where he would make the hijra (migration). They made their next stop at Mount Tur (Sinai), where the prophet Musa (peace be upon him) was when the Almighty spoke to him. Here the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) again prayed and was transported to Beit Lahm (Bethlehem), where the prophet Isa (peace be upon him) was born. Here our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again offered a prayer to Allah. Then he was transported to Jerusalem, to the Temple Mount. In the Remote Mosque (Bayt-ul-Muqaddas), the Messenger of Allah met with all the prophets, among whom were Ibrahim (peace be upon him), Musa (peace be upon him) and Isa (peace be upon him), and performed jamaat prayer with them (collective prayer in as an imam - the leader of the prayer).

Leaving the temple, he saw a ladder illuminated by an unearthly light descend from the sky, and instantly climbed it to heaven (al-Mi "raj). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended first to the seven Heavens, and then to such a height upon which none of the creatures has ascended.

Al-Isra wal-Mi "raj is a special honor given by the Almighty only to our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

In Mi "raj, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw many miracles that are incomprehensible to the minds of people. He was shown rewards to people corresponding to their deeds.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also saw the heavenly al-Kaaba - an inhabited house, Paradise, Hell, Arsh, Kurs and much more.

In every heaven he met the prophets who greeted him, and then spoke with Allah without barriers. On this wonderful night, the Almighty laid on the Muslims the obligatory (fard) five daily prayers. Having descended, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) sat on Burak, and at the same moment returned to where he was awakened.

It was narrated from Aisha r.ha: “On the Day of Judgment, all people will feel severe hunger and thirst, except for the prophets and their relatives who fast in the month of Rajab, Sha"ban, and Ramadan. Truly, they will not feel either hunger or thirst."

The hadith says: “Remember, Rajab is the month of the Almighty; whoever fasts at least one day in Rajab, the Almighty will be pleased.”

Another hadith says: “Five nights when a request is not refused: the first night of Rajab, the night in the middle of Shaban, on the night of Friday and both nights of Eid (Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Adha).

May Allah make us from among those slaves who respect and honor the month of Rajab, from among those slaves who ask for forgiveness of their sins in the month of Rajab. Amen!
