Mergers and acquisitions

On October 13, 2009, the share of AFK Sistema in Comstar - United TeleSystems was transferred to MTS.

PJSC "MTS-Bank"

Kronstadt Group LLC

Russian high-tech company specializing in the development and production of high-tech products and solutions necessary for the creation, development and safe operation of complex technical equipment in the air, at sea and on land. In 2017, at the MAKS air show, the company for the first time presented an aerial reconnaissance complex with unmanned aircraft(UAV) Orion-E. This complex is the first drone fully developed in Russia and built from domestic components. It is also the first UAV to have a flight duration of 24 hours.

AFK Sistema invests in the social sphere and implements a number of charitable programs in the field of education, culture and art, and support for vulnerable segments of the population. The total volume of social investments by Sistema in 2014-2016 exceeded 4 billion rubles. The operator of AFK Sistema's charitable programs is the Sistema Charitable Foundation.

The case of Bashneft

The Bashneft case is a corporate conflict between the state corporation Rosneft and AFK Sistema. One of the most controversial business lawsuits in modern Russia.

On August 23, 2017, the Arbitration Court decided to partially satisfy the claims, to recover jointly and severally with PJSC AFK Sistema and JSC Sistema-Invest in favor of PJSC ANK Bashneft the amount of losses in the amount of 136 billion 273 million 554 thousand 65 rubles. On August 28, AFK Sistema again announced the onset of a technical default on loan obligations in the amount equivalent to 8.9 billion rubles

On December 22, 2017, the parties to the case signed a Settlement Agreement, according to which AFK Sistema undertakes to pay PJSC ANK Bashneft 100 billion rubles. On March 5, 2018, the Group repaid the debt under the Settlement Agreement ahead of schedule. The amicable agreement was executed, the case was dismissed, the counterclaims were withdrawn.
