Conduct dialogues in San Andreas on iOS it's also easy. A box appears at the top with the possibility of a positive or negative answer. So you can talk to night butterflies or hire guys in your squad. Sometimes it happens that the dialog box comes off simply when you walk past passers-by. Neither positive nor negative answers in this case do not affect anything. 
The translation in the game has also changed. Dialogues have become more human and filled with meaning. Played in San Andreas on PC and consoles, they will miss the "chilled carbon fiber" and the inscription "Spent", which made fun every time the hero died.
It is worth mentioning the saves in the game. There were automatic saves in the process of completing missions. They are not bumped every few meters, but sometimes they save you from the routine of passing before the start of the task or driving from the nearest save location. If the mission fails, they always offer to start it over again. Sometimes this feature doesn't work. It happens that the game is saved immediately after the message "Mission failed", in which case the return to the save does not help, in these situations you have to go through the mission again.
As for the global saves in the houses bought by CJ, there is a small bonus. Two cloud slots allow you to play San Andreas on multiple devices. Starting the game, you involuntarily feel nostalgia. All replicas of the initial splash screen, familiar streets and of course CJ have long felt like family. Yes, this is the same game that came out at the end of the PlayStation 2 era. And if then, against the background of other games, SA looked somewhat weak graphically, now it is not. RockStar took the porting extremely seriously: the character and car models were redesigned, dynamic shadows and reflections were added, and so on. All this seemed to breathe into the game new life. Even against the backdrop of many iOS games with good graphics, San Andreas does not lose at all.
The game runs fairly smoothly on both the iPad Air and the iPod Touch 5, although the latter still feels a bit truncated visually. But this does not spoil the overall impression of the process.
Speaking of the vicissitudes of porting, you should focus on management. Rockstar didn't reinvent the wheel (just made us steal it in the first mission) and took virtual keys very seriously. There are three types of controls to choose from: stick, buttons, and swipes. Those who played SA on consoles remember the monstrous control on the joystick, when some commands were transferred even to pressing the sticks. And with the help of some magic, developers were able to shrink this system and almost completely transfer it to iOS. Of course, everything is not so smooth: aiming for an hour is quite difficult, and even riding a motorcycle makes you almost blush with tension. In general, I don’t fully understand why not add a wiser auto-aim for close combat to the game. It would make life much easier. Anyway. According to my subjective impressions, the developers also made some cars more obedient than in other versions of the game.
In addition, Rockstar added support for Made for iOS 7 controllers, which are slowly starting to hit the market. The acquisition of one of them will completely solve all management problems. I suspect that using the game will be no less convenient than on PS 2.
Special mention deserves the cloud save of the game, which will allow you to play safely on the iPad, then continue on the iPhone, and so on. In addition, at the beginning of the game it prompts you to enter a password for the Rockstar Social Club, so, most likely, cloud saves apply to the PC and console versions of the game.

What is it like to be a gangster?
SA is one of the largest GTA games. In terms of the number of in-game features, it is inferior only to the fifth part. But first things first.
Firstly, San Andreas has a striking and large-scale plot. It is very difficult to find an analogue, but Tarantino would have done something similar if he had not had time limits in his films. There are many characters and all of them are remembered for their characters. Not in last turn this was achieved thanks to the actors. SA is the last GTA to be voiced by real stars (GTA IV and V cannot boast of this). There are Samuel L. Jackson as Officer Tempenny, and Chris Penn as his partner Pulaski, and James Woods as CIA agent Mike Thoren, and rappers Game and Ice-T and many others. A truly stellar cast.
The games in the series have long been a satire on American life, so in the plot you can find many references to famous films or some individual reflections of the "American dream". If you follow the development of events, then the whole whirlpool involuntarily captures and does not let go until the finale, although, of course, there are some sagging plot development in the second third of the game. But it's worth it.
Secondly, the scale of San Andreas is almost dizzy. There are so many possibilities in the game that a simple listing of them will probably take more than one printed sheet. You can follow the story and discover the world with it, or you can start riding around the city from the very beginning (initially only Los Santos is open), take missions of policemen, firefighters and taxi drivers, change clothes, attack members of other gangs and much more. But still, the main features open gradually. What is only the war for the districts at the end of the passage of the first city, low-ride competitions, the purchase of a casino, crazy flight missions. And add to this also a role model that reacts to almost all your actions. It's insanely cool.
Thirdly, the player is surrounded by a truly living world. Unlike Vice City and III, where everything revolves around the protagonist, the world of SA seems to be self-sufficient. Screensavers, the general atmosphere, and pleasant little things are responsible for this. For example, sometimes you can see how the police are chasing someone else and right in front of your eyes a shootout begins. And this without any involvement from the user. Firefighters or an ambulance are hurrying somewhere, balas stick to passers-by ... The world breathes and it delights.

The game appeared in App Store with Russian localization. And in general, this is excellent, but some moments of the translation still strained me. For example, Big Smoke turned into Paravoz, and Sweet into Handsome. Thank you for not making a Rider out of Ryder, but some Sioji out of CJ. Of course, the translation is much better than the famous "spent" pirated version, but if you have the opportunity to play completely in English, then do not miss this opportunity. Still, in SA you can observe a very lively and colorful language, which is why listening to dialogues is a real pleasure.

I still remember the first time I played GTA:SA on a test console in an electronics store, and then ran away to save money for my own drive. Indeed, the progress of consumer electronics is moving at such a pace that, perhaps, we can expect in the GTA IV App Store in another year?
All in all, SA is a striking example of both the right optimization and the right play. I think that the very fact of the appearance of such a project in the App Store will wrinkle the noses of many mobile game developers who rivet 3-4 games a year, polish the graphics, but make their offspring very unplayable (yes, Gameloft, nod in your direction). After all, San Andreas is a really adult, deep and large-scale project with good graphics, a cool plot and a giant world. Not playing this is practically a crime. For five stars.
