As a rule, any available movements are made mechanically, but manual operations are allowed. The feeder functions from the same electric drive, which drives the main movement device. The mechanical movements of the working units of the machine have a wide range, which ensures the following:

  • 16 feeds at different speeds (within 12.5 - 400 mm / min);
  • accelerated (at the level of 935 mm / min) strokes that are transmitted through the chain to the working mechanisms, then to the slide and caliper (via a chain drive), or to the headstock.

If the electric motor is turned on in reverse mode, the rotation of the shaft will idle in the opposite direction.

3 Features of the design and operation of the most important elements of the machine

The feed box of the unit is located in the block. Using a flange, it is connected below the gearbox on the side of the frame. Rotation is supplied to the box from the engine, then the movement goes to the working units. In this case, the feeds change similarly to the process in the gearbox. The operator needs to monitor the position of the cross handle of the machine, which must be set to the "Neutral" position.

When the clutch moves on the shaft to the right side, the mode of accelerated movements is activated, since the shaft is disconnected from the chain of standard movements. Automatic inclusion of normal feed is fixed when the control handle is released.

The gearbox is also assembled in a separate block. The transmission of rotation to it, as was said, is carried out by means of a V-belt mechanism. The gears move when the lever is turned. If the teeth of the engaged wheels do not match, the reduction of the discs and the inclusion of speed does not occur. This problem can be solved with the help of a handwheel that allows you to rotate the spindle in manual mode.

The support of the milling unit is necessary so that the workpiece receives the required feed. A special handle makes it possible to set the feed direction (mechanical) down or up, left or right. The direction of movement of this handle is identical to the movement of the table.

In the extreme positions of the caliper, the stops without a command and any actions of the machine operator turn off the mechanical feeds. Depending on the accuracy of the part processing, the movement of the table is counted. This operation can be performed using measuring tiles, limbs (their division should have a value of 0.05 millimeters), special millimeter measuring devices (rulers).

The main movement of the unit is performed by the headstock, on which the cutter is mounted. Rotation to it through the gear intermediate wheel is transmitted by the gearbox. A headstock is installed on radial bearings (there are two of them), and thrust bearings perceive everything axial loads, allowing this unit of the machine to work stably and without interruption.
