Perm State Polytechnic University address. Perm National Research Polytechnic University. Sports and physical culture-mass work

Perm is rightfully considered one of the largest centers of education in our country. There is a huge number of educational institutions of different directions. And, of course, technical sciences are especially highly valued in the Urals. For over 50 years now Perm University, whose faculties will be described in our article, trains students in the most relevant applied specialties.

History of University

This university dates back to 1953. It was then that the USSR Ministry of Culture decided to open a higher educational institution in the Kama region. In the early years, Perm was called the Mining Institute. He was supposed to provide the region with engineers who specialized in the coal industry. At first, the educational institution did not have its own building or hostels. Classes were held in a construction technical school, where a small area was rented. The construction of its own building began only in 1955 on October Square. The main specialization of the university was the mining industry.

In 1960, the institute was merged with several other educational institutions of the Kama region. Among them, for example, was the technical faculty of the Perm state university. The Machine-Building Institute was also attached to it. In the same decade, new faculties began to open, which taught students construction, architecture, and chemistry. In the 1970s, the institute grew rapidly. Behind Kama, the construction of a huge student complex began, which, in fact, became a new urban microdistrict. Its construction was completed only in 1989. In 1992, the institution was named the Perm State Technical University. It was under this name that he became famous not only in Russia, but also abroad.

How to enter the university?

Education at PSTU is carried out in full-time, part-time, evening and distance forms. As in other educational institutions, the entrance campaign here begins in July, after passing the school exams. Applicants must provide admission committee all necessary documents (copies are possible) and fill out a special application. You can also submit all papers to Tchaikovsky or the large Berezniki branch (Perm State Technical University). Future students can choose the faculty themselves, taking into account their own desires and the results of the exams they have passed. After submitting the documents, you just have to wait for enrollment in a budget or paid place. Usually, PSTU publishes lists of applicants in early August.

Faculty of Mining and Oil

As mentioned above, PSTU initially specialized in the mining industry. Therefore, this faculty is considered the oldest in the university. It was founded in 1953. Here, students learn the basics of mining, and after graduation they become oil workers and engineers. In the last year they are necessarily introduced to the leaders of the largest fuel companies in the country, which also helps to get Good work. Over the entire period of its existence, Perm State Technical University (Perm) has produced more than 30 graduates who have received doctoral degrees. PSTU is the legal successor and continuer of the traditions of the Perm Mining Institute, organized in 1953, and the Perm Polytechnic Institute, formed in 1960 as a result of the merger of the Perm Mining Institute with the Evening Machine-Building Institute.

In 1992, PPI, among the first polytechnic universities in Russia, received the status of a technical university.

Since 1996, the university has been implementing multi-level training in higher professional education programs, in 1998 the first graduation of masters in the areas of "Metallurgy", "Applied Mechanics", "Environmental Protection" took place.

In 2002, for the development of "Theory and practice of training specialists-researchers in science-intensive areas in the "school-university" system, the creative team of PSTU was awarded the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of education.

In 2007, Perm State Technical University became the winner of the competition for innovative educational programs of universities in the framework of the priority national project "Education". Based on the results of the IEP PSTU, four scientific and educational complexes were created: "Gas Turbine Technologies", "Science-intensive technologies for oil and gas processing", "Comprehensive development of territorially combined deposits of ores and oil", "Nanostructural materials and products", which are equipped with unique laboratory equipment and software leading world manufacturers; highly qualified personnel have been trained, modern information technologies have been developed.

In 2009, PSTU was among the 12 Russian universities that received the status of "national research university". A logical continuation of the Innovative educational program of PSTU was the Development Program of the National Research Perm Technical University until 2018.

The priority areas for the development of NRU are:

  • Aviation engine building and gas turbine technologies,
  • Extraction and processing of oil, gas and minerals,
  • Nanoindustry,
  • Urbanistics.

Two projects of NRU PSTU received support from the federal budget: 1. Creation of high-tech machine-building production based on modern methods of product design and flexible production processes for precision processing of materials (Together with OAO Motovilikhinskiye Zavody). 2. Establishment of a high-tech production facility for the provision of services for testing gas turbine units (GTU) with a capacity of up to 40 MW at a multi-purpose adaptive environmentally friendly stand (Together with OAO Proton - Perm Motors).

Together with the state corporation Rosnano, PSTU prepares masters under the advanced training program focused on the investment projects of the State Corporation Rosnanotech in the field of production of submersible electric pumps for oil production and their components with nanostructured coatings.

In 2010, TUV SUD Management Service GmbH (Germany) PSTU issued a certificate of compliance of the quality management system in the development and provision of educational services with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008.

In 2011, the updated charter of the federal state budgetary educational institution of higher professional education "Perm National Research Polytechnic University" was approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Currently, the charter is being registered with the tax authorities, after which the university will be officially renamed.

My friend graduated from PSTU a year ago. The university, he says, is wonderful. He entered there quite easily and immediately to the third year - after the technical school. I must say that the competition for his specialty - "Automation of production processes and integration of computer technologies" - was quite large. This is quite understandable, because PSTU in our city and in the region as a whole is very popular, most of the Permians and many people from the region come here, so the number of students is high ...

Perm State Technical University (now the Perm National Research Polytechnic University) is the most popular among young people who want to get an education. My brother is now studying there, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, majoring in Automated Control Systems. On admission he said he was pretty good competition, according to him, 5 people per place and the exams are not easy. By city standards, even I would say by Perms standards...
